Domain Terms & Conditions

Domain Terms & Conditions

These terms explain the relationship between Acorn Media, you, and registry operators such as Nominet when registering and managing domain names.

Last updated: 22 April 2026.

Contractual Relationship

When you register a domain through Acorn Media, you enter into a contract with us and directly with the relevant registry or registrar. For .uk domains, that includes Nominet UK. For domains registered via our Tucows OpenSRS platform, you also agree to the Tucows OpenSRS terms and conditions.

You agree to the Nominet terms available at www.nominet.uk/go/terms and the Tucows OpenSRS terms available at opensrs.com/resources/documentation/#Contracts__amp__Agreements.

Renewal Responsibility

You are responsible for renewing your domain name. We will send reminders 30 days before expiry, but if payment is not received, the domain may expire and could be deleted or sold to a third party.

Transfer Out

We do not charge a release fee for transferring domains away, provided all outstanding invoices are paid. Transfer requests may still be subject to registry rules and transfer processing times.

Domain Ownership and Risk

You remain responsible for keeping your registrant details accurate and for complying with the domain registrar's policies. We are not liable for any loss of the domain caused by expired payment methods or incorrect contact information.
